  I'm a world traveler, having been to every continent vice Antartica. As a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, I down coffee by the pint in every country I visit. I purposely seek out the "mom & pop" coffee shops for the ambiance and place to apply my critical taste test.
  This week my wife & I visited Fred & Larry's Coffee shop in Banner Elk, NC. What an experience! Larry (owner) and Amber (barista) were friendly and hospitable and just as important, the coffee was some of the best I've ever tasted; ever! They choose their beans wisely, use one of the finest Italian coffee machines manufactured.
  Sharon & I will be in town for a week and ensure we include Fred & Larry's on our daily itinerary.
  BTW, Larry is a former Marine and Viet Nam Veteran. Us Veterans like to support each other. Veteran or not, you must visit Fred & Larry's!

  First came in around 4:30pm and the place was packed, line was out the door. I left and came back at 8pm. Larry is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. You can tell he's dedicated to service and craft. He gives each customer his full attention and helps you make your choice. Coffee and flavored Kava Tea were both great. Thanks dude.
